The month of September was fantastic at Timber Grove!  Many thanks to all of our teachers, staff, parents and community members that insured that we had a great opening.  I am very thankful for the out pouring of support for the school.  Back-to-School Night, our first PTO meeting at Pizza Hut and the Ice Cream Social were all very well attended.  I look forward seeing even greater parent, teacher and community involvement at our upcoming events.  Active parent and teacher participation in the school as well as the PTO are critical to our success.

If you are interested in volunteering at Timber Grove remember that you must complete  the online application, view the volunteer video, read the volunteer handbook, and have your license scanned into our Raptor security system.  Please remember to print your certificate  and bring it to school so you can be added to our list of approved volunteers.  Should you need any assistance with this process please contact the school office.  Computer access can be arranged, but advanced notice is required.  In order to chaperone a field trip you must be an approved volunteer prior to being selected.

Safety and security are a top priority at Timber Grove.  In order to maintain our preparedness students regularly participate in emergency drills.  In September , your children participated in two fire drills and one lockdown drill.  I am impressed with how efficiently students and staff performed these drills.  We will continue with drills each month to be certain that everyone in the building knows what to do in case of an emergency.

As always, my door is always open.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Best Regards,
Scott Audlin, Principal
