Happy New Year Timber Grove Community!

The month of December was festive, filled with learning, and spirit. The culminating event   for the month was spirit week, where every day students, teachers, and staff dressed up to different themes. The participation was outstanding and truly reflected the sense of community that we enjoy at Timber Grove. Capping off spirit week was the PTO-sponsored Timber Grove Talent Show at New Town High School. It was great to see students, families, and    faculty come together for this fantastic event.

The New Year holds new opportunities for students and staff, alike. Our assistant  principal, Ms. Valerie Lewis, has been selected for the BCPS associate principal     program and will be  interning as principal at Rodgers Forge Elementary School    from January 8th through February 2nd. I know that the entire Timber Grove           Community wishes her well in her endeavor. While Ms. Lewis is interning at        Rodgers Forge Elementary, Mr. Chris Baker, 4th grade teacher, will be assuming      the responsibilities of assistant principal. I know that he is excited to work with the Timber Grove Community in this new capacity.

It is exciting to see the tremendous growth that our students have shown throughout the first half of this school year and we look forward to the great things that are sure to come as we enter the second half of the school year.
